At the residence, Martha holds a fateful garden party, and invites more figures from her turbulent life.
Martha was once a Hollywood star, but now she is increasingly reclusive and focussed on tragic elements of her past – elements that could ultimately lead to… murder.

After falling ill due, to pressures of publishing and investigating, Agatha Christie is encouraged to take a break on the Holiday Island Resort, with her friend, Mary Westmacott, to recuperate.
On the luxurious holiday island, Agatha attempts to avoid any thoughts of investigating, but nagging questions persist: Why are they so few holidaymakers? Who is the mysterious stranger hiding in the shadows? And is the married resort manager being rather too attentive to a young, attractive guest?
Mary fears that they could easily be completely cut off from the outside world, and Agatha begins to sense danger, and slowly realises a significant connection to one her Miss Marple books…
