4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Story & Narration
Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2020
An angel, drops a snowflake on a shoulder of a young girl.
Boy knew there was a special gift coming from the angel, and from the father’s workplace. A box, heavy, a ball, this is my most precious thing I have made. Curious he looks at father, and the angel, the gift of the world. Beautiful story, and narration. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Artistic license in a story about Jesus
Warning contains spoilers!!!!
The story tells what would happen if Jesus comes to visit a dysfunctional family on Christmas. The author took a lot of artistic license in the character of Jesus.
Things I liked: the idea of how Jesus would interact with people and the overall writing style.
The biggest things I didn’t like was the actual interaction the Jesus character with the people, for example the husband is cheating on the wife, instead of telling him the marriage bed is meant to be honored or saying it is a sin to commit adultery he is seems to brush it aside. The author could have also said “go but sin no more” to link it to the story of the woman caught in adultery.
Also the theology is way off in regards to judgment day. If those two things don’t bother you then it’s a good story.

Unique but short and doesn’t tie up loose ends
Without spoiling it this is all in all a good novella. It is the murder of a young girl in a manor called the Three Sisters. It is a list of abstracts, letters, diary entries and notes from all the parties involved and the police constable conduction the investigation. Some issues I didn’t like: 1. The narration drops off in a few places. 2. I don’t feel the end adequately tied up loose ends. 3. All the parties involved both appear guilty when other people discuss them and innocent when they themselves explain the situation.

What if?
As all the books I have read of this author he makes you think if what, is this possible or could this be the way it is or going to be. In this audible you find yourself in a future of spaceships, mother earth and space station then you find yourself on a distance planet and the planet population is no more than 750 and everything is based on doing the pleasure of The Prime. Sound simple this were you start seeing so many possibilities and the different it's. i want say no more but I highly recommend reading or listening to this audible and see if you would have made the same action or decision!

The perfect Christmas Story
If you are like me you have heard all kinds of Christmas Stories from biblical to Frosty the Snow Man but this one is quite different and I have turned Christmas off since I have no family and as truck driver you always work. This story was a modern Christmas Story and the best way to describe is "what if you found a stranger in your yard on Christmas Eve?" I want go any further alone on my review I give to much away I will say it would good to listen to for both children and families on Christmas Day.

Unexpectedly Sweet

Format : Audible Audiobook
Here’s an unexpectedly sweet short story about the meaning of Christmas. A family muddling along at the breaking point after losing a child, unexpectedly encounters a homeless man who changes their lives. This isn’t a subtle tale, but it is very touching as the homeless man helps each of them come to grips with their loss and rebuild their lives. It’s perfect for the Christmas season.
I received this short story from Free Audio Book Codes in exchange for an honest review.
